Guided by dedication and passion, Kathryn Carlberg has spent the past 18 years expanding her knowledge of dance. Growing up in Burnaby, B.C., Kathryn began her dance training at age 5. She excelled in completing all Royal Academy of Dance Graded and Major Examinations up to and including Advanced 2. Kathryn is a 2012 Simon Fraser University graduate with a BFA majoring in contemporary dance and a BBA in marketing. Through SFU’s Field School program, Kathryn travelled throughout Ghana, exploring the rich and diverse culture to study traditional West African dance. In 2010 she performed at the Opening Ceremonies of the Vancouver Winter Olympics. Kathryn is thrilled to be a part of Project CPR, as she is excited to explore this creative process with other inspiring dancers and choreographers.
